Congratulations to Friends of Lesnes and Woods

Congratulations goes to the Friends of Lesnes Abbey and Woods who were nominated for two awards at the Bexley Volunteer Excellence Awards 2024, which was organised by Bexley Volunteer Centre.   Paul Hinkley was nominated for Community Champion.  For the past three years Paul has spent many hours collecting and clearing rubbish from our park.  He is also part of the Friends Litter Picking Group that meet monthly.

The Friends were also nominated for Team of the Year, for their dedication, knowledge and support of Lesnes Abbey.  We were so pleased that you nominated and wanted to officially thank you all for everything you do.

It was an honour to meet fellow volunteers from an amazing range of organisations in Bexley and thank you to Bexley Volunteer Centre who organised such a lovely Awards Ceremony.
