Launch of Woodland Festival

We are really excited to announce that we are working with the Friends of Lesnes Abbey & Woods, who have received funding from Three Rivers to deliver the Woodland Festival 16 September 11am - 5pm.

Join us to celebrate and protect our ancient woodlands. 

A weekend of events, hands-on activities  and ancient crafts focusing on nature.

Join us in our beautiful ancient woodland right in the centre of South East London for a day if countryside activities. Easily accessible by London Underground, Network Rail or by bus. Experience the calming effects of nature and old country traditions; see demonstrations of ancient woodland crafting skills; join in with our various activities and celebrate the end of summer. 

There will be a market selling food and local sustainable produce along with stalls providing guidance on recycling, woodwork demonstrations, crafting, guided walks exploring nature and lots more.  You can also discover our ancient abbey ruins, scientifically important woodland, fossil pit and collection of interesting trees.  For more information please click here
